1.Why can you serve me better than my existing fuel company?

First, we have plenty of staff – our busiest season is actually summertime so we’ve got lots of people available to meet your wintertime heating needs when most other companies are running low on help! Second, we care – we’re a family business that’s been in Lower Bucks for 18 + years. We know many of you personally and when you need us, we’ll be there for you!

2. Why can you fill my tank for less?

That is opposite of most fuel companies and that unique position allows us to offer consistently low fuel prices year round to keep your family warm! We can afford to give you our outstanding customer service for less than other fuel companies because our costs simply aren’t as high and we can pass the savings on to you!

3. Are you saving money by selling me poor quality fuel?

Absolutely not! ALL of Lower Bucks fuel companies pump their heating oil from 2 local pipelines (Buckeye & Consumer) that transports the fuel from the refineries at port. The only difference is whether the fuel is treated or not and what treatment is used.

4. Is it safe to order online?

Yes, our forms are highly secure. Our secure server protects your information using advanced encryption. Your browser should show a lock icon I the bottom status bar on secure pages. Look for this icon on any web page that asks for sensitive information such as addresses and account numbers. As a Secure Site, we use state-of-the-art SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encryption to protect your personal information from unauthorized use.

5.How long after I complete my order will you deliver my oil?

Generally speaking, it takes the same day or 1 day after we have received your order for the delivery to be made (Depending on your location too of course!). If you are experiencing an emergency or are dangerously low on fuel we do not encourage you to rely on this system.  For emergency service please call 267-248-5814.  There is a fee to use this service!!  And that fee goes directly to our driver!  Big Oak Fuel does not see a penny of that service fee, we only charge you for the oil that you receive.  All emergency deliveries MUST be for 150 gallons more or a fill.  Once you speak to Scott (Office Manager) he will then reach out to the driver who will call you directly to speak with you about your delivery.  Please remember!!!  When ordering online (or  when calling in too!) If your tank does NOT take the amount that you specifically asked for (example: Your ordered 150 gallons and you only took 63 gallons.  The PRICE PER GALLON for 150 gallons is CHEAPER than than a 50 or 75 gallon order.  Your price WILL be changed if those issues do come up.  We even change it for customers if you take more than you anticipated too! (example- Ordered a FILL, and your tank took 637 gallons, instead of it being the minimum/base price for 150 gallons, lets say its $2.00 a gallon, since your order was 500 gallons or more the price would probably be between $1.95 to as low as maybe $1.90!  AND WE DO HONOR THAT SYSTEM TOO!!!  WE WANT OUR CUSTOMERS TO GET THE BEST PRICES IN ALL OF BUCKS COUNTY!  SO, after all of this being said, if you see that your tickets price has been changed in ANY way it’s because your ORIGINAL price/gallons order did NOT meet the requirements and was approved by the office. AGAIN, IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, PLEASE DO NOT HESITATE TO CALL SCOTT (Office Manager) or John (owner) in THE OFFICE!  THANK YOU!!

6. Do I have to be home when you deliver the oil?

It depends on whether we can locate and access your tank without any problems.

COLD WEATHER TIPS

***WE NO LONGER SELL FIREWOOD!!!!  WE HAVE NOT SOLD IT IN OVER 5 YEARS NOW.  THANK YOU!!***

Most Important, You Control Your Discount Oil Deliveries!

Watch your fuel oil supplies!  You use much more heating oil with cold temperatures so never let your tank go below 1/4 tank before you place your next heating oil order.  You should order early to avoid run outs, especially during cold temperatures. Remember that all our drivers become extremely busy when we have extended sub-freezing temperatures, so delivery times may take longer than normal.

Plan Discount Oil Deliveries Around Forecasted Snowstorms

Whenever possible, plan at least 3 days ahead of predicted snowstorms so your heating oil delivery arrives before the snow. Snow and ice slows down deliveries so planning ahead can avoid the anxiety of running low on oil.

Shovel Out Access To Your Fill Pipe

When snow is on the ground, be sure you shovel a path to your oil fill pipe and if needed, mark the location of your oil fill so your oil driver is able to make your heating oil delivery. Do not forget that with the short days of winter our drivers may be delivering in the dark. If you have an in-ground tank, your driver needs to be able to find your fill, so please make it easy for him or her.

Keep Your Driveway Access Clear When Expecting A Delivery Of Discount Heating Oil

Make sure your driveway is clear of snow and ice. Safety always comes first and our drivers may not be able to make your delivery if your driveway is ice or snow covered. Plan ahead to avoid delivery delays and re-delivery fees.

Emergency Discount Heating Oil Deliveries For Lower Bucks County

If you get to the point where you know you are going to run out of oil before your delivery arrives, supplement your oil supply before you run out. It will avoid inconvenience and sometimes expensive start-ups… and more importantly, keep you warm. You can add other fuels from the distillate family to your oil tank… diesel fuel (either on-road or off-road) or kerosene (either clear or dyed). While these fuels will be more expensive than heating oil, they all burn safely in your oil burner. A good rule of thumb for most homes is 5 gallons/day during cold weather.  IF YOU ARE COMPLETELY OUT OF FUEL AND NEED AN EMERGENCY DELIVERY PLEASE CALL 267-248-5814 FOR MORE DETAILS.
